Angle Florist is pleased to announce that it is now part of a new local group whose goal is to support and encourage shopping with local businesses in the New River Valley. NRV HOMEGROWN promotes locally owned businesses by educating our community about the importance of shopping locally and creating visibility through its "Go Local" program. The organization encourages a culture of consciously shopping locally by demonstrating how accessible, affordable, and beneficial local businesses are to our unique community.
The group also sells a "NRV Go Local Card" that offers hundreds of discounts at the many stores who participate in the group. The $20 fee is easily earned back in discounts provided by the local merchants who take part in the group. There are currently over 130 participating member stores throughout the New River Valley. The cards are on sale at local merchants and will provide many opportunities to save money for those who support the program.
Look for the logo on windows, doors, delivery vehicles, etc. of the many locally owned businesses who encourage you to buy local and support your community businesses.
